West Mountain Radio RIGrunner 4008H Horizontal

The 4008H is just what the doctor ordered! I too, didnot want all the bells and whistles draining my battery while in use. I used this product to power all the devices on my telescope. Please read the description well. This is the no-frills unit. I have not blown a fuse yet so I can't speak to that end. What I can say is this unit works well for me! And yes, I would buy another one for my next scope!

I purchased the 4008H unit to serve as a power distribution device on my
telescope. My scope uses six devices that require 12 volts from the
on-board battery. I purchased this particular unit because I did not
want all the bells and whistles draining down the battery during use.
I wanted a no-frills solution and I got one with the 4008H.
Furthermore, I would like to see more units that feed from the
side with and without the monitoring onboard. Presently there are only
two choices and I have the best one for my situation!

Really a great way to distribute power in a portable or mobile situation due to its size.

This unit is NO FRILLS- NOT the 4008 in horizontal form factor-- no voltage monitors or LEDs. Do not buy this unit if you think you are getting a 4008 in horizontal form factor! The model numbers are misleading and should change; or at least the web page should mention what is MISSING on this unit (4008H) vs the 4008- I expect the price to be less with less parts in it. Having said all this-- it does work great but is simply a junction box. Also the fuse blown LEDs will work only if you have a load on the jack (which is fine, as long as you know this). Next time I'll get the REAL 4008-- not the 4008H-- and this is a WMR mislabeling-- not Powerwerx-- they're great!
