Red-Dee-2 products provide the new solution for power distribution. These assemblies are designed for minimum loss and higher current capacity. Do not include resistive devices such as fuses or indicators, which reduce the battery powered voltage-operating window.
Fuses, and/or fused disconnect switches, with or without indicators should be used at the source of power as appropriate. The fuses and fused-disconnect at the source is to prevent fire or damage from excessive currents in the wires feeding the load. Each powered device should have its own integrated or connected fuse assembly. That will help assure that the wrong fuse value is not used. Protect your expensive, valuable equipment. Red-Dee-2 Connect are a great idea for powering several items from one heavy-duty main power cable into the cab of a truck or car. They are smaller than the distribution panels so they take up far less room, allowing you to use the fuse holder built into the wiring of the device you are using. I have used one to charge three batteries from a single charger, with the expected satisfying results. This splitter works great, but since each terminal is 90 degrees off from the next, the wires go off in all directions. I'd suggest buying the other style which has two sets of connectors on each end (same price).http://www.powerwerx.com/product.asp?ProdID=3821&CtgID=1027
