Plug without Latch for Chassis Mount (HS-4)
We use this item with the HS4 chassis mount as a power key. One set of PP's on the HS4 are hot, the other set is not (load side). We wire the plug as a jumper and even add an LED. When inserted the system is "hot." Really cuts down on battery damage in our emergency radio sets, and insures the cases aren't closed when in operation, thus allowing proper ventilation.

This "companion" to the 2-powerpole housing mount is quite helpful for quick connects/disconnects. My only gripe with this item and the mating housing is that they come with (and appear to be designed for) 30A powerpoles, not 45A powerpoles. While it's certainly easy enough to swap out the contacts, one finds that the strain relief for the main cable is difficult to assemble when using a larger cable assy made for 10 gauge wire, ala the MACCOR test cables. Other than that, very nice.
