This thing rocks! |
By
Dan from Oregon
I have beat the heck out of this thing and it performs admirably. Even when putting a 50A battery tester on it, the current limiting does its job and cuts down the voltage. The small size is very convenient for travel and power poles on the front makes this the best supply in its class, if you ask me. Meters would be nice, but it's hard to complain!

Great supply and rugged also. |
By

I use this supply at home and with my portable station. As I camp and operate radios over several days I have found this supply to be compact, noisefree, and reliable.
At home it powers a 100 watt HF radio and a 50 watt dual band FM with no issues.
In portable use it works in conjunction with your 40 amp powergate charger and a 100 amp gel cell to power a 100 watt HF radio.
Your products are sturdy and all seem to plug n play together. Thak you

No HF et. al. Interference |
By
W5CO from USA Mostly
Got this for portable use because of its relatively small size and light weight compared to the Yaesu FP-1030A. Using this supply, listened across all frequencies on all ham bands 160m to 2 m and 70 cm on a Yaesu FT-897D finding NO noise or interference of any kind from this switching power supply. Then, transmitting at 100 watts on 80, 40, 20, 15, 10, 2 meters and 70 cm, got clean signal reports on audio.

Great Regulation - Runs Cool |
By
wa6rzw@comcast.net from Denver, CO
I purchased the SS30DV power supply specifically for my ADTV project. Running class A amplifiers require very good power regulation to maintain close bias tolerances. The SS30DV came well packaged and even the poly bag was folded meticulously. I connected the power supply to a load of 250W 12V lamps. The no load voltage was 13.86V and I ran the power supply with the 20A load for 3 hours. With the full 20A load the output voltage was 13.78V. The exhaust fan air temperature was 105F degs. This power supply will serve the TV transmitter nicely.
