The interference or electronic "noise" generated by alternators, ignition systems, motors, etc., can render a vehicle or vessel’s radio or other electronic equipment virtually useless. This interference takes the form of popping or static on radios or audio gear and garbled images or "hash" on video displays.

These specialized filters can be used singly or in combination to attenuate conducted line noise, either at the affected equipment or at the noise source.

Did not work for me By Paul

I installed this within 6 inches of the alternator with 0 gauge power and ground wire. There was absolutely no change to the engine whine coming through my midrange speakers in my car audio setup. I bought this product because of a youtube video where the youtuber said you could install this noise filter and it would solve and eliminate all problems related to engine/alternator whine. This may actually be a good product, but it did not work for me. Will be returning.
